Revocation

Revocation: Sometimes referred to as "Reversal." The process by which a birth parent nullifies a Consent to Adoption that he or she previously signed. The laws covering revocation vary considerably from state to state in defining the availability of a revocation, and if allowable, the circumstances and time limits under which it is possible.
