Access Veto Reunion Registry
Access Veto Reunion Registry: One of the various types of reunion registries that are in use today, wherein a contact "veto" is filed by one party to the adoption which registers that person's refusal to be contacted or to have identifying information about that individual released. In an access veto system, an adopted adult may receive identifying information about another party in the adoption triad, if no veto is on file. The laws in some states provides for a contact veto, prohibiting contact between the parties, but not an information veto, thus permitting a party access to identifying information, including an original birth certificate, but prohibiting direct contact.Find more information on Access Veto Reunion Registry
